A day of tribute to patients who have died in the Palliative Care Unit

A day of tribute to patients who have died in the Palliative Care Unit since 2022 was organized at Hôtel-Dieu de France, in the form of a gathering of families and friends of the deceased. A mass, presided over by hospital chaplains Fathers Nabil Chehata s.j. and Elie Daou, was celebrated in their honor.

During the day, family members of some of the deceased patients gave their testimonies, recalling the sad and happy moments lived together, all in the presence of the 𝐏𝐫. 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐮𝐞𝐫 𝐬.𝐣, Director of the University Ethics Centre at USJ, Dr Line Abdo, Head of the Palliative Care Unit, and Prof. Ass. Georges Tabet, Head of the Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Department.

The day ended with a gathering in the bamboo garden.
