Sleep Center
In July 2008, the Department of Pulmonology and Critical Care at Hôtel-Dieu de France inaugurated a new sleep laboratory designed to assess respiratory disorders associated with sleep.
This center, distinguished by its advanced tools, performs tests using state-of-the-art techniques to achieve efficient results for patients with sleep disorders. To date, 2,675 tests have been conducted.
The center is composed of a multidisciplinary medical team to meet the needs of each patient. This team includes:
- A medical coordinator working under the Department of Pulmonology and Critical Care at HDF, who oversees the implementation of operating and care protocols and organizes the work within the center. The coordinator also facilitates coordination between doctors specializing in sleep and other hospital departments.
- A sleep physician who reviews polysomnography recordings according to a program set by the medical coordinator.
- A sleep technologist with specialized training in sleep equipment and recording, possessing a solid scientific background that enables them to perform polysomnography.
- A reception service responsible for collecting admission forms and centralizing PSG, MSLT, and multidisciplinary sleep consultation appointments.
- The secretary of the Department of Pulmonology and Critical Care, who is in charge of writing reports for sleep physicians, sorting incoming mail, and sending replies to referring physicians.
